Grapes of Opera in Rosso are grown in 20-year-old vineyard in Casanova. Its south west exposure and its fossil-rich clay soil are the key peculiarities of our best Sangiovese grapes.
A lengthy (24 month) aging process in 500 litre barrels rounds the tannins to produce an elegant but full flavoured wine which is highly representative of the Colline Pisane region.
Opera in Rosso has its counterpart Opera in Nero, created from a selection of our finest Merlot grapes.
