STATIONS OF MEMORY by Cesare Borsacchi

Born in Pisa on the San Rossore estate, he has lived for work in
various countries. From 1965 to 1994 he travels and stays in
various parts of Africa, Latin America, Australia, Asia and
Southeast Asia. "[...] traveler of the biographical and ethnographic
imaginary, from traveler of the real in the world, to civilizations,
populations, cultures, different societies.These are the stations of
an itinerary that lasted decades, started from the native Pisan
forest of San Rossore, place of memory in which he ideally
returned every time, with figurative and symbolic depots, of his
own encounters and life experiences.In the paintings intrinsically
visionary conducted on the plane, Borsacchi from time alternates
both scores detected for material emphasis and object inclusions
and sculptural structures painted, mostly totemic and subtle
Indo-American memory, in which he symbolically tells the radicals
of life and of the human condition today violated in the world ".
